In 2009, Sheldon James painted this mural above “Elemental Discovery“. I think it’s  great – it’s a 3-D experience where you DON’T need special glasses!

Last week, the City of Loveland announced that they are looking for artists to submit proposals to paint another wall in downtown.  The  exterior west wall at 4th and Railroad – part of AIMS Community College:

From the City Of Loveland’s Art in Public Places press release:

The theme of the proposed 30 by 50 foot mural is ‘Where Art and Science Meet’ and must be appropriate for viewing by all members of the community. Mural proposals will be accepted from Aims students and faculty as well as artists from Larimer and Weld Counties.

The awarded artist will be supervised throughout the process by professional muralist Sheldon James. The project budget includes preparation of the brick wall, materials and equipment for painting the mural and professional consultation.
