Fake Denver Doctor Arrested and Charged with Assault and Impersonation
A man operating a clinic on South Federal Boulevard in Denver has been accused of impersonating a doctor.
The Denver District Attorney's Office says, Carlos Hernandez Fernandez, 36, is charged with four counts of second-degree assault, two counts of unlawful sexual contact, four counts of criminal impersonation, four counts of unauthorized practice of physician and one count of child abuse.
Fernandez has allegedly been pretending to be a licensed doctor since at least January 2015 at his clinic called "Hernandez Fernandez Clinic." Four of his victims had serious injuries from procedures, and two were victims of unlawful sexual contact.
Fernandez was released on a $2,000 bond; his next court appearance is today.
