It's the little things in life that can put a smile on people's faces, and one Fort Collins resident proved that this week.

According to the Fort Collins Police Services Facebook page, a female named Sydney rode up to officers diverting traffic on her bike, carrying 2 pizza boxes. She said thank you, and rode away.

Taped to one of the boxes was a note that read, "I hope that you have a great rest of your shift! I know you receive a lot of [anger] and hostility, but know you are appreciated and loved! You're doing a job that very few have the [heart] to do. Thank you for being the guardian angels of this city! Love, Sydney."

We'd also like to thank Fort Collins Police Services for all the hard work they do to keep us safe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
