I had several items to drop off at the collection they did in the spring. I was amazed how organized and efficient the event was ran. There were professionals organizing, properly handling and disassembling items on site. It's time to gather up those hard to dispose of items and get rid of them, the correct way and for free.

The City of Fort Collins is holding another FREE Hazardous Waste Collection on Saturday, September 8th from 9am to 3pm at the City of Fort Collins Streets Facility 625 Ninth Street.

The Facebook event page says "this is your chance to drop off household hazardous waste for free. "Items that will be accepted are: household batteries, paint and pesticides, fluorescent lighting, cleaning and automotive products, vitamins and supplements, personal care products, including hair products and lotions, mercury-containing items such as thermostats, thermometers and button-shaped batteries. www.fcgov.com/hazwaste for more info."
