Most folks, including myself, who live near, or have to commute near the Highway 392 ramp over I-25 have probably gotten used to dealing with delays and an overall mess. It's been over a month now since construction started to make the whole area more convenient to pass through in the future. But, before we get to convenience, we have to deal with what comes with construction, and next week could be the biggest headache yet.

CDOT plans to close I-25 at the Windsor exit in both directions for several hours on four {4} nights next week to install bridge girders.

On Monday and Tuesday between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m., traffic along this route will be rerouted at the Windsor/SH 392 exit (Exit 262). Additionally, east and westbound directions at the I-25 bridge on SH 392 will also be closed.

On Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., select north and southbound lanes of Hwy 392 will close. The bridge will also be closed in east and westbound directions along 392.

All detours will be marked, but alternate routes are suggested. For more information and updates call 511 or click here and choose the “I-25 Northbound / Southbound Hwy 392 Planned Closure” under the CO Travel Alerts column.
