You don't need to find a calender my dear, today is the day! Not that you really need a reason, especially on a Friday night, but happy National Margarita Day! Cheers!

The origins of this holiday stretch back to ancient times when — just kidding, it’s a marketing ploy from the big tequila, lime and cheesy-plastic-cup triad. Or something.

I do find it kind of weird that the dumb asses who created this holiday did it in February. I do like to enjoy a margarita all year, but the best way to enjoy one (other than on the rocks with salt) is on a sun-drenched patio in the heat of summer. And with today’s temperature make me think of hot chocolate and peppermint schnapps or Fireball shots more than margarita's, but hell I am game to celebrate!

I was going to give you my favorite marg recipes, but it's Friday, let's go out! So, here are my favorite margarita's in Northern Colorado...

The Rio

Tres Margaritas

Fuzzy's Taco Shop

Adelita's

... And if you have time to go to Denver...
